18Bet Nigeria Betting Rules

The current rules of betting on the 18Bet platform apply to all users who use the betting services or the mobile application of the company. This list of rules is part of the General Terms and Conditions, which the client must agree to when completing the registration process. In case of inconsistency between the 18Bet Betting Rules and the General Terms and Conditions, the second version of the rules shall prevail.

In case of obvious errors, the company reserves the right to correct them as well as cancel the respective bets from users. The final betting decisions are left to the platform. 

The main provisions that every user should be aware of include the following:

  • If an event starts before the scheduled time on the platform, only those bets made before the actual start are considered valid. This case does not apply to live events;
  • In case the names of the events on the 18Bet website are reflected in different languages, you should always give priority to the English version;
  • Each client on the platform is fully responsible for their current score, team checks, and the status of the currently selected event before placing a bet;
  • The company reserves the right to make changes to the current rules at any time. In general, the update is effective immediately after publication on the site;
  • Live information may be provided to customers with delays or may contain inaccuracies. Therefore, all bets made on their basis, the user makes their own risk, and the company is not responsible for possible financial losses.

Cancellation and postponement of events on the 18Bet Nigeria 

Cancellation or postponement of events may occur in the following cases:

  • If the match has not been played on the scheduled day and also not completed, in this case, all bets will be cancelled, except for those whose result has already been unambiguously determined;
  • If the game started but was interrupted and not completed in due time, only bets on markets whose result was determined before the stoppage of the event remain valid;
  • In case the result of an event is cancelled by the official sports authorities, 18Bet has the right to recognize it as invalid, where the company’s decision is final in any case.

Venue changes

There are certainly occasions when the venue of a match is changed, for example, due to weather conditions or accidents. For example, if a match is moved to a neutral ground or there is a change of the home team, all bets on the match are void unless otherwise stated in the rules of the particular sport. 

For tennis, boxing, or other individual disciplines, a change of venue does not affect the validity of a bet if notified in advance.

Match times

If the duration of an event has been shortened or changed, for example, a soccer match is over in 65 minutes, although it should run for 90 minutes, all bets on this event will be void. All events that take place in extra time are also considered part of the main time, for example, if a team scores in 45+3 minutes, it is considered to be scored in 45 minutes.

Rate calculation and results

The main evidence for the calculation of a bet on the 18Bet platform is official sources from sports organizations or award ceremonies. Subsequent disqualifications or result revisions are not taken into account. 

Some bets can be settled before the end of the event. This is notified before the match, for example, if you bet on the outcome of the team, they score 2 goals at once, then the winnings for any outcome are credited to the account. In case of error, the company has the right to cancel or recalculate such events. If there is any doubt about the outcome, 18Bet may suspend the calculation of bets until the exact cause or problem is clarified.

Any changes or adjustments that are made 72 hours after the start of the event cannot affect the bets already calculated by the users. However, if the official result does not match the one on the platform, video footage or information from the official website of the competition will be used as proof. In the absence of data, 18Bet reserves the right to make adjustments on its own, and the outcome of the company’s decision is final.
